Default Oil catch can question with video

The video is about 15 minutes but you can see the plans in the first couple minutes.

I plan on running similar valve covers on my 01 LS1 and my new throttle body also deletes the port that would run to the valve cover so I am wondering if this would be the correct way to incorporate a catch can. Are there any other things to consider, should I run an inline pcv valve, kinda new to the catch can and aftermarket valve covers so I want to get this right the first go round.

Got new covers and they only have like a 3/8 port on them, don’t want to have a bung welded in.

It's really straight forward. Mark it out, drill the hole and file it to size then bolt it in and good to go. Took me like 20 minutes

So did you use a vacuum source or just a port from each cover straight to the can ? What can did you use ?

No vacuum source for me. Just bought a cheap can on Amazon and an open element. No crankcase issues no leaks at 20 psi.

I purchased some 1/2" NPT to 10AN male fittings and drilled and tapped the LS7 valve covers and ran them to a single breather catch can.

6AN is too small if you ask me.

On the 99 car I ended up running 10AN lines of each valve cover to their own breather cans and mounted them underneath the headlights.
