Will a lid and Trans Am lower airbox fit under the stock Formula hood?
I've got an 01 Formula automatic that belongs to a friend of mine. Right now, it has a Flowmaster and cat bypass. The mods will be very limited as this is a daily driver and the owner isn't looking for a drag car. Anyway, we're looking to put a lid on it with the taller Trans Am lower airbox. We're also planning to get a Raptor hood but that will come later when funds allow. Until then, will a lid (say SLP) and taller Trans Am lower airbox fit under the stock hood? Has anyone done this already?
Thanks
Eric

Trans Am and Formula lower air boxes are the same.
The WS6 lower airbox is bigger.. I'm guessing that's what your talking about?
If so, this thread will help you out:

Copied from other thread:
I have had a WS 6 Lower air box tray on my non-ram air Formula for over 2 years now. It has a QMP Direct Flo lid on it. Some slight mods were required like notching the 4 bolt holes in the fron of the lower tray to allow the whole thing to slide back a bit, and notcing the hood where the air lid latches were rubbing. Use the link in my sig and select the Car Pics folder. There are several pics with explanations of what was done. These lid pics start about half way down....# 27 or so.
