Default Panhard bar

Has anyone take out the bar connecting the upper body its located just on top of the panhard bar. Do you guys thnk it will cause problems if removed, I have and aftermarket panhard bar already along with sub frame connectors amd torque arms. I am asking because my over the axle exhause is hitting it.

BMR (?) makes a new one to clear true duals.
I think it will make your upper panhard mount
way too wimpy if you remove it. The Handling
and Braking section regulars might have more
to say about that.

Yes it is BMR that makes that. If I remember right, it's not only a bent bar, it's a complete relocation kit that is adjustable too. And to answer your question, several cars on this site are not running the support but, more than likley their set up for the drag strip.

If you arent a cornering fanatic, then I'd say it's safe to remove it. It provides support for the bracket that the PHR is connected to. If you remove it, dont take any hard corners, the tail may swing out, or you can bend or break that bracket. I don't know if that will happen before the tail end whipped out, doubt it.
