Default headers?

im looking to replace my shorties and giving them to my friend that is about to turbo charge his ls1 anyways ive been reading and pricing these things and some of the prices are scaring the hell outta me! ive seen many ppl with pacesetters. are those just as good as like the hookers or slp's or even the top end qtp or flp's? oh and correct me if im wrong but the pacesetters being coated are like $400 ish and like 1 3/4 in? thats the size im looking for. thanks again guys!

The prices are scary for sure but the thing that scares me even more is having rusty headers. Thats what makes me want a stainless pair. I dont want my nice shiny headers looking all rusty like my manifolds do now, they look like crap.

I love my pacesetters. The fit in great and the flanges look awesome. I would recommend them, texas speed is having a special on them for 374. Good luck

you get what you pay for , spend a little extra now, then a lot latter.

I agree with the pay more now and none or less later. Get some stainless higher end headers and you'll more than likely never have to buy another set.

i have coated pacesetters and they fit great, no problems with the install and they still look good, dont know how long they'll last looking like that. i went with them because of the price and heard good things of the new design, but deep down i wanted hooker's.

You do get what you pay for. I got pacesetters cuz i plan on buying a new car in a year or two and making this drag only and building a new race motor. Im doing the install on these for a friend next week. Sometimes you get lucky and they fit great... other times you use every cuss word you know trying to get them in! Id buy pacesetter again... but if u got the cash go with stainless!
