Default Poly motor mounts - pros/cons

What are your guys feelings on motor mounts?

Since the I will have the motor out and the exhaust off for my swap, why not go to poly motor mounts?

How much extra engine noise will I get? How much less movement? I already have a poly diff mount installed, so I might a well go to poly motor and tranny mounts, right?

I can get a set of motor mounts shipped for $45, is that a good deal?

i would seriously get them, motor went from a lot of shake to no shake at all i would also only replace the drivers side one, the pass side dont matter that much and will save you $20, but since you have the motor out its not a bad idea.

I would recommend it also. I have poly motor mounts and a poly transmission mount.

You will see more vibration, especially at higher speeds. The mounts definately decrease the amount of motor shake though. If you can stand the extra noise, I would say go for it.

I've just recently converted my Tranny mount, Torque arm mount, and Motor mounts to polyurethane. I figured this would eliminate a lot of motor shake and get everything nice and stabled, but when i recently went to the track, wiht a set of slicks, all i could turn was a 14.1 at 5800 ft. My best last year on street tires was a 14.049. Help?

Traction would be my guess, or density altitude. How hot was the best vs your 14.1?

.05 seconds is not a lot and there are about 1010301234141240123401234 different factors that could account for that.

That was in the classifieds. Thunder Racing is having a poly sale right now, 15% off till Sept 16th. I went that route and motors and a tranny mount was $72 shipped to my door.

I like them. Car body shakes now instead of the motor, but inside the car is quieter and doesn't shake you out of your seat anymore. Do it while the motor is out.
