Mufflex or Hooker Catback?

The Mufflex Flowmaster is not an 80 series crossflow, they are the ones that don't flow, the Muffler that mufflex uses is a Deltaforce Flowmaster, It flows real good, don't confuse them.

you dont race at low RPMs, and hell its not like you are gonna notice the 3 or 5 hp and tq driving around town.

You dont lose power with a larger system, it just pushes it up in the rpms where it counts. races usually dont just got to 3500 and shift...now the problem would be with a 4 inch system, do you have enough of a power band (rev limiter and cam) to get the full use out of it? stock internals..probably not.
hooker gets my vote. second vote would be true duals but id wait to get the lt's first and do it all at once.
have you thought about a cut out for now? i've changed my exhaust 9 times. im on my 10th exhaust set up cause i could never make up my mind. Dont make mistake. a cut out should be around 60 bucks installed (for a manual one that is) and would be a great alternative and give you what you are looking for till you get the lts. Then you cuold change out everything at once!
im running a 3.5" single in/out small cased delta force race muffler, and i gain 14 rwhp and 10 rwftlbs when i open the cutouts
but it is the best sounding exhaust ive ever heard
I went from stock to a flowmaster crossflow muffler, the flowmaster sounded badass but did flow worse than stock. I could feel it. I just this week ditched the flowmaster for a hooker catback. The car definitely feels much much quicker now, especially with the stall converter. The flowmaster with the stall converter did not sound as good as it did before the stall, it sounded better down low in the RPM. The hooker is quite nice, and I keep reading that it will get louder. I keep smelling something funky, I assume it's some sort of packing burning out of the muffler.
Go with the Hooker, you won't be dissapointed.
(although i need to take mine to a muffler shop because the tailpipes are way too long, they stick out at least 2 or more inches from the bumper!)
