alot of shops will say you cant use a x because they dont know what they are talking about. deffinitly get some LTs to a x pipe then just figure out what muffler you want i ran a 2 in 2 out magnaflow that sounds pretty nasty

If you want loud I would go with a SLP LM1 for your catback.

kooks 1 7/8, off road Y pipe, stock WS6 catback. Put a healthy camshaft in it and the car makes the PERFECT deep throaty rumble.

Heres a list of exhaust Ive had on my car.

1. Jethot LTs, ORY, magnaflow catback
2. Jethot LTs & 3" custom duals with Pro Flow Twister mufflers
3. Jethot LTs & 3" custom duals with magnaflow 4 x 9" mufflers
4. Pacesetter LTs, TSP duals, spiral flow mufflers
5. CAS Turbo manifolds with custom Y pipe, 4" I pipe, 4" magnaflow muffler
6. Kooks LT's, Kooks ORY, Hooker catback w/ cutout
7. Kooks LTs, Summit unniversal 3" X & 3" duals, Borla S type mufflers
8. Truck manifolds for turbos, custom 3" Y, into 4" then split into 3" tailpipes w/ 3" Dynateck mufflers w/ dual cutouts
9. Currently I have stock manifolds, stock cats, stock Y pipe with the
SLP 2OTL.

Thats a tuff one.
The magnaflow sounded like CRAP without cats!

The custom 4" with the 3" dynateck mufflers was my favorite design, all stainless, excellent flow and clearance. But I was only running 8.7:1 CR and a LS6 cam (turbo setup) so it did not have that Big cammed thumpin sound.

The hooker catback sounded really good but didnt flow as well as I thought. 14rwhp difference between the muffler and using a cutout.

The Duals sound good and flow great but hung too low on my car being lowered 1".

The 2OTL has a really nice sound with my car being 100% stock plus has straight through design.

If I had to pick one, My vote goes to the the custom 4". Id try the Borla stinger mufflers instead of the Dynatech next time around.

I'm curious about your switch from setup number 3 to 4. Why did you go from the Jet Hot LT's to Pacesetter?

I disagree. Its an awesome catback on what otherwise is a stocker but if he wants performance he should stay away. I'd go to duals and bassani seems to be a very good choice, and its rare too. TSP also makes the cheapest 1 7/8 headers.
