Default True Dual preference

Okay I'm taking a vote. From everyone that reads this, who prefers the sound of bullets and who prefers sweet thunders? If you don't mind, include why also.

I've heard strippedSS's car (with cam). He was several cars ahead of and one lane over at a stoplight and I heard the lope. I knew right away that I HAD to find out what was making that wonderfull noise. Gotta love a big cam through duals. The sweet thunders sound really nice but at the same time I am happy with my dynomax bullets. If I could have either one for hte same price, I'd probably get the sweet-thunders.

Depends on what you want. Bullets seem to be louder but not as deep. Sweet Thunders are deep but not as loud.

I'd say sweet-thunders. They have that more "muscle car" sound, and have more personality if that makes sense. Bullets are just really loud

Sweet thunder. Check sig.

Duals with Bullets is similar to the Loud Mouth, Dyno mouth and rumbler.
Duals with sweet thunder is similar to the GMMG.

GMMG > Loud mouth
so that would mean
Sweet thunder duals > bullets on duals

Ive heard several exhaust set-ups with bullets and none have that great tone that the sweet thunders do. Yeah they are loud but so is the loud mouth.

Different people, different taste.

I have to majorly disagree with "Dual with Bullets is similar to the Loud Mouth"

Trust me, I know. I had the loudmouth for 18 months and went with the duals when I installed my headers. There is absolutley NO comparison b/t the loudmouth and duals with bullets. For shame for even saying that. You will put a bad thought into people's heads about duals with bullets!

Trust me.. noone thinks that the TSP TD setup sounds like a Loudmouth. It sounds amazing on LTs. Where as, the Loudmouth sounds like **** with LTs and an ORY.

Thumbs up to Sweet-Thunders and Bullets.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who took offense to that blasphemy.

Also, the loudmouth does sound good with stock manifolds and CATS while sounding like *** with LT's and no cats. You can't even compare the sound of the loudmouth with stock exhaust to the sound of duals on LT's.....the duals sound SOOOOO much better.

I prefer power over "noise". Which of the two setups is making bigger numbers?

Im planning on redoing my exhaust soon (my shat is too low) and will do over the axle setup so i dont get harassed by the local bacon.

Anyone have pics of a 3" system over the axle??? And how much power difference is there between dumped and running it out the back? PM me or post 'em

Well I too had the loud mouth, for over two years and know how annoying it was.

Hmm now why would I compare the Loud Mouth, DynoMouth and Rumbler to the Loud mouth? Could it be because of the type of muffler they use?

I compared the GMMG to a dual set-up with Sweet Thunder mufflers because they too use very similar muffler.

I didnt say they sounded identical. I mean no way could any y-pipe set up sound close to a dual set up.

I did however state my opinion that
GMMG > Loud Mouth
and
Sweet Thunder Duals > Duals with Bullets

That right there is where you went wrong with your explanation.
That sentence is a no-no.

Also, I do not believe that the difference between the duals with bullets and with sweet thunders is anywhere near the difference between the loudmouth and the GMMG.

I have to say, sweet thunder is appropriately named. Hence why my true duals are being put on with them monday, as well as a few other goodies.

I have the TSP system. I love them and would not change. But, its all what you want. Sweet thunders have more of a deep tone and not as loud. Bullets will be louder but not that old classic car sound. I am not sure on the flow on either of them.
