Default Help me choose an exhaust

I am looking for a full cat-back exhaust for my '01 SS. I am looking for the following, 1 being the most important selection criteria.

1. Must be dual (exits one on each side)
2. Very, very deep sounding, especially at idle
3. Good power gains
4. Not so loud as to attract law enforcement

Cost is not important, I don't mind spending the money if it is what I want.

Thank for the help.

LS1sounds.com What your asking is subjective so be prepared for many answers....IMO I would opt for the Hooker Catback. Very quiet inside car but has a nice burble at idle. WOT it screams.

Yeah, the hooker or magnaflow would be my votes. Both of these are deep sounding exhausts that aren't too loud until you step on it.

I gotta say Hooker...why you may ask

-Perfect fit when I had it installed
-Price $300 most places
-Sound is awesome but quiet at idel and cruise speeds
-great looking
-free flowing

What is there not to like? This was the best Mod I've done so far!

My buddy has a GMMG on his 00 SS. It sounds very deep and smooth so i recommend that. My other buddy has a 00 WS6 with a hooker and it doesnt sound half as deep and smooth as the GMMG. Other wise i would recommend true duals.

If money is of no concern, then I say B&B. Personally, I think B&B is the cleanest sounding cat-back. The tips are my favorite of any setup also. Not too loud, but very agressive when you step on it.

why are you going to pay all this $ almost double the cost of the hooker system? Why don't you take the difference in price and put it towards other mods? Don't understand spending 5-$700 on an exhaust Do what you want but I'd go with the hooker for performance and price and put my money into other things

If you want it to be deep, you are gonna need headers to go along with it. GMMG will probably be one of the deepest on the stock manifolds, but if you want a really nice sound, you will need some long tubes.

He did say not too loud, which gmmg is, and I think B&B has an even better sound that GMMG, and headers don't make your exhaust deeper.

While the B@B may sound good it's been proven to be awfully restrictive compared to other catbacks out there. Gomer gained something like 17rwhp with an open cutout over his B@B catback on his H/C LS1. I only gained 4rwhp with my cutout open vs my Corsa muffler.

Hmm, didn't realize that about the B&B. That kinda sucks, since I love their sound/look. Neither of which are good reasons for sacraficing performance in my opinion.
