Default Buy headers with or w/o emissions?

I am trying to decide wether to get headers with or w/o emissions. I don't have to worry about the car passing inspection or emission testing.

If you don't plan on using the emission stuff, no need to have them.

I bought my Kooks with the AIR hookups and used block-off plates...this way, if I have to revert to using the emissions equipment, I'll already have the provisions...

If I had to do it all over again, I'd definetely go with the non emission equipped headers. It would make the engine bay look better, and you don't have to worry about those checking those spots incase of an exhaust leak. Less weight too.

doesnt say what state u are from... but in CA u cant have LTs on even if it has cats and passes emissions. u failed the visual with no CARB No. So u will have to swap on stock eq. for smog anyways. Go without. I know of 4 people personally that have their EGR or AIR provisons on headers crack and break off...

Definately without, you'll just wind up taking the crap off anyway and having to use blockoff plates. Save yourself the time and trouble now, plus it looks better.

Without, because if emisions do come along you have the stock ones to put back on.

SEARCH GODDAMMIT!!!!!

anyhow....its when you remove your Air Injection Reaction and your Exaust Gas Recirculation systems. pretty much this article will explain everything. i went over and found it on ls1camaro.net.

http://www.ls1camaro.net/sections.ph...ticle&artid=70

won't hurt your cats, before you ask. AIR system just cleans up your exhaust gases to try and clean up emissions during cold starts.

Thanks alot guys, i've found the links on how to remove the egr and secondary air. Hopefully with the ORY and Hooker catback i won't have much rasp, I can't stand that. I really dont' care about the exhaust smell w/o running cats.
