That clip sounds like when a chunk of a muffler is broken off inside and rattling around. Dunno man, that was not what I was expecting.

Yes that deffitinly sounds like a broken baffel in the muffler. I get the popping sounds only when I am driving, and never at idle. I would get your muffler checked out and probably will need to be replaced.

Does broken baffels normally sound like backfires. Sometimes they are deeper and also I will get one deep bassy blurp. like a botor motor makes whenit is in water and is shut off. It is almost like you can feel the pressure build up and the blurp.

Well the baffel in my muffler broke and it sounded just like yours, I just had to get a new one from corsa and replace it.

be sure to have a mechanic make sure its a broken baffel before ordering anything. I'm pretty sure it sounds like it but I could be wrong. And don't even ask how I came up with the name

I have been having the same exact problem after I installed my Kooks headers and Catted Y pipe. Although at idle, I hear a tick tick tick tick sound, so I am convinced that I have an exhaust leak somewhere. I am running open Y pipe right now, and I have that loud popping noise when deccelerating and or downshifting. I am gonna try to find the exhaust leak and see if that fixes it, and I am waiting for my GMMG exhaust so once I get that hooked up maybe that will fix it. I heard another possibilty could be a bad o2 sensor.

I appreciate your reply. I am open to any sugestions. How do they find where the leak is. This my sound like a stupid ? but is there a leak detector.
