A good reason might be that it won't come up on a search engine....at least....Google. There are pages of references to the Shaner S2 or S3 but they are all posts here or other boards. No link comes up to Shaner himself.

The other question, might be "why in the world would you pay someone else to do what is so easily done yourself??"

Because he has the machines to do it, and he does a much much better job. Don't get me wrong, I can port the heck out of a MAF, but boring a TB should be done carefully, with machines that I don't own.

All of them are good....just some guys are harder to get a response from. I just went with the guy that responded right away.

I heard that Brett wasn't doing TBs anymore. I think he moved on to sheet metal intakes

I ordered mine from Jantzer. Its a quality piece and yes he is a perfectionist. We had an agreement and he held his end of the bargin. I will admit that it took a while, but I had the time to spare and made him aware of that. Heres a few pics:

What is the average turn around time on these Jantzer-done TB's? Everyone is saying they take "longer than expected", so what is the time it took everyone to get theirs?

I'm in need of one pretty soon b/c i'm doing a cam/oil pump/timing chain/ls6 intake/ported tb/gears change all at the same time and I want to do it in a timely manner (yes i know it's a lot to put on at once but i've been saving up)

I will let you know thru this thread soon. I shipped a TB to him the Friday before Christmas Priority that got there on last Tuesday. Scott said "3 days turnaround."

I will report the day it was shipped back and the day I received it as soon as it is back.

If someone could pm me with the Shaner and Jantzer websites I'd appreciate it. They don't come up on google.
