Default Installing GMMG Tonight...Any Suggestions?

Any last minute suggestions before I install this? I know a lot of guys have had banging issues because the clamps weren't tight enough so I'll look out for that. Besides that though, is there anything else I should be aware of? I have all the tools I need and I'll be putting the car on jack stands to do the job.

Make sure your happy with the tip height before you clamp everything down, it's basically a one shot deal. Good luck and you'll absolutely love the sound!

It's not that bad took my friend and myself about 20 minutes on my LT1, tips lined up awesome and the sound is great. I tightened the clamps by hand and tighten them about once a week because I'm obsessive compulsive, and no leaks. Enjoy it.

Take your time and dont rush anything.....If you hear any hich pitch squeaks, then you need to adjust your heat sheild. Check under your car to see where you exhaust is rubbing your heat sheild ( located under your gas tank ) mark that spot, take the heat sheild off, and bend or reshape that spot.

Unfortunately I don't have a polishing wheel yet...but I've read someone's write up on here before about how to do it. So in the spring I'm buying a PC and a polishing wheel, but I'll just take it off next year to do that. Right now I just want to make sure the system fits and looks good.

Defintely, Blue Magic did an awesome job on my GMMG. Only problem ive had with the GMMG was the passenger side mount tab scraping the bushing housing resulting in a horrible squeak. But a dremel solved that problem.

Only install problem I had was getting the tips lined up, even, and level...in fact, I never was able to get them perfect (but then I'm over-critical!)...the rear section is fully welded, so the tip placement is tough to fine-tune...be patient and you'll get them set up to your liking!

Have fun...

I'm pretty **** about that stuff too, but I figure when I take it out of storage in the spring I could always have an exhaust shop heat up the tailpipes and bend them a little if they're not perfectly straight.
