quick electric cutout question

quick electric cutout question

what do u need to install an electric cutout. i read about people needing the y pipe and other stuff. i currently have a random tech dual 3inch exhaust and was wondering if i will need anything else to install the cutouts.

do any of u guys regret getting them and is it safe to buy a used one since the motors can die on u anytime.

All you need to do is take it to a muffler shop and have them cut your intermidiate pipe on your exhaust right before the bend where it goes over the axle and have them weld it in there. With the cutout angled towards the passenger side. You only need one. I wouldn't try to put one on each side of the factory y-pipe. Also of course you will need some sort of switch ran into your car and wire to run it. Should be an easy install on the wiring side. I don't have one myself but one of my friends had one on his T/A with the same mods you have. It will sound good. Plus you can quiet it down when you want. I've never heard of that company you put in you second post. But most people go with the QTEC for QTP sponsor------------->
