a quater and a dime works perfectly to cover those holes not saying that i welded federal money but if one where to need to cover them they would work

your saying that you dont need to run the egr. but what about if you drive it in the winter?isnt the egr to warm up the intake manifold in cold weather conditions, do i still need to run it. sometimes up here in canada it gets to be -20 degrees celcius.

no EGR is to reduce emmissions, pure and simple. AIR is to help the cats on a cold start.

AIR. Air Injection Reaction. It pumps fresh air into the exhaust manifolds for a few minutes after start up and then shuts off.

Just to let you know, if you are getting midrange knock before you remove the EGR, you will only amplify it after removal or induce it alltogether. There are more aggresive timing tables when the egr is active. Mainly because it's pumping a spent gas into the chamber that dilutes the ideal combustion mix. Make sure you keep your chambers clean(seafoam), use good gas, ect.... Or you can get a tune and delete the table and codes.
