Cutout install cost
I have a SLP Dual/Dual and it's too quiet. I'm pretty sure I just want to put a cutout on it and leave it at that. I don't mind it being loud most of the time, so I'm just doing a manual cutout, no electrics. How much would it cost to get a 3 inch cutout installed in the I pipe and where should I have it done (Meineke, Midas, speed shop)? Any opinions and personal experiences would be great. And yes, I already did a search for this. Thanks.

I had mine installed a few weeks ago at a local muffler shop for $50 also. the guy was very hesitant to touch it at first, mainly because I have LT's/ORY. I just talked to the guy for awhile and convinced him that the cutout was'nt anywhere near where the cats were(and slipped him a $20). Since you still have cats, they shouldn't have a prob. doing it. Just be sure to say "It's for the track only".
BTW, I LOVE my QTEC-best of both worlds with a flick of a switch

I would definitely do the QTP electric cut out as well, it is just SO much more convenient and it is quite simple to install and use, and they're coming out with a stainless steel cut out soon as well, VERY trick.

I only drive this car on the weekends, so it making a bunch of noise doesn't bother me. I can always install the QTP later if I want, but I think I'll like it really loud.

Local exhaust shop did mine for 15 bucks. I just called around to the exhaust shops and asked how much it would be to weld in a cutout.. didnt take him more than 15 minutes to do it.
