Pacesetter Headers I want to buy a set of headers for my 99 camaro Z28. I have a budget right now and I was told that midlength headers from pacesetter are a good set. I would like to know if these would be the best for someone that has a budget. Also can someone tell me about how much hp I will get from them and how will they sound. I have a stock y pipe and stock exhaust with the mufflers removed.
I didn't even know PaceSetter made Mid-length headers. Go to the sticky on Exhaust Reviews on the External Engine forum for more info on different headers. You can also go to www.ls1sounds.com to listen to what different headers/cat-back combos sound like. If you're on a budget I have a set of O2 simulators for sale for 65 bucks in the for sale section . you're going to need these if you remove your catalytic converters for a little extra horspepower and torque. Pacesetter doesn't make Mid-Length headers. Mac makes mid-lengths, and alot of us are going to tell you not to waste your cash.
Spend the 350-375 to get a set of coated Pacesetters..

There are some websites that say Pacesetters are mid-length, but they are long tubes like everyone else said. MAC and Bassani are the only LS1 mid-length header companies that I know of. Anyways, Pacesetter makes great long tube headers and I highly reccomend them.
Summit lists some Pacesetter Mid Tube headers and Long Tube Headers.

I just got my TSP ORY yesterday, looks nice . Looks like it goes in pretty easily considering it's in pieces-lol.
I was thinking of welding just the Y together as one piece once it's in the car, instead of using the U clamps they supplied. Is there any reason once it's in and all fitted I wouldn't want to do that ?
