S2 or S3 ? Polished to Satin ?
I'm a little confused as to which one to buy...
My car will see about 3 - 4 track days, so it's mostly a street car. Mods are in the sig and I'm also getting a LS6 Intake to go with the TB.
I'd like to know which version of the TB to go with and also if it makes a difference [other than appearance] to go with Polished over Satin ?
Please post..
Thanks a lot!

Don't know if it is what you are looking for, but Shaner is coming out with a Billet TB as well that is supposed to outdo both the S2 and S3. Depending on the results, I'm either going Billet or S3 (but I have a M6 if that makes a difference).

I had asked him once, and he told me the S3 was better for people who race from a roll, or who are running nitrous. otherwise, S2 was the way to go. This is just what they told me when I emailed them, so don't take my word for it.

I have the S3, and I drive it just like you. Mostly on the street, not that much on the track. It really made a big diff over my stock TB, dramatically helped throttle response. I'm taking mine off this weekend when I put my fast 90mm on, it'll be for sale next week.

My A4 w/3.23s, from a dead stop, comes loose way too easily at even 1/2 throttle. I had figured the S3 might take away enough of the low end so I could get into it harder and have a better mid range. The way it is now, if I nail it from a roll @ say 2,500 rpm in "1", it pulls the tires loose but doesn't 'go up in smoke. I'd like that from a dead stop!
