Default Is the SLP FLOPAC worth getting?

I have a completely stock 2001 SS M6 and I want to add 10-20 rwhp, and I don't mind spending 300-400 bucks for it. I searched and found a thread about modding mistakes where Jerami advises against this mod. But why? I just want to know how much power will this add. Help a newbie please

Most stuff slp sells is good quality, but is over priced. I am not a big fan of there stuff. Most of the time you can get something that will make more power for way cheaper. I would check TSP or Thunders site out.

I have everthing in that kit except the smooth bellow and mine has work out fine, I don't know if you'll see the advertised hp but I think that kit good for at most 10 hp. and you can probably save some $ if you buy a used lid and did the FRA (free ram air) mod where you cut the bottom of the air box out. (like you would have to do to install the slp cold induction kit just leaving out the sheetmetal box) check out install university for the FRA instructions.

hope this helps

I read an article on GM High Tech Performance web site comparing the top 4 Lids. SLP's lid ranked the best and produced the most HP, and best quarter mile ET's and MPH. Take a look at there web site for the article.

I have an slp lid and have been really happy with it. It seems to be a more flexible material than some of the other lids I have seen (I have seen some of the other lids crack) Get a lid and a fast toys ram air, and that will be better than the flo pac IMO, which would cost like 275, or less if you got a used lid.

This is true, but all were within like two horsepower of eachother as I remember, so if you can get one a lot cheaper than another go for it.
