Bolt ons to make 550-600 crank hp

Bolt on's consist of long tube headers, intake, throttle body, stuff like that and no combo of the items listed above will get you 400 hp nevermind 600 hp. Like everyone has said you would need a radical heads and cam package and a whole lot of dyno-tuning. I say just get either a twin turbo kit or a pro-charger and be done with it. With the turbos you would be around 500-550 RWHP which would be over 600 Flywheel HP, and a ton of torque as well. Either that or get an ATI Procharger, which would give you just about the same amount of HP, but the low end HP and torque you get with the Turbos wouldnt be present. If you want it to be naturally aspirated your gonna have to go with a big stroker kit or a 427 CI engine to get near those numbers and that would be hard pressed. I was orginally gonna go with a big heads/cam setup on my z28 but after doing a whole lot of research ive decided to save up for a single turbo kit. Good luck though with whatever way you decide to go!

boltons will probably get you a little over 400 crank hp, if you have EVERYTHING. if you want 550, throw a 150 wet shot on top of all the boltons.
pretty stout cam will get you to 450+ crank hp. basicly, take everyones RWHP and divide by .85 (for 6-speeds) and around .82 (for automatics) to get close to their crank hp. compare their mods and see what you need.
and BTW - convert your brain to rwhp like everyone else in the world!

If your math is right... my 359hp x .85 = 422 HP. That seems like more than I should have, and I'm only running bolton's at the moment... all except the elec. water pump. I am expecting around 415 to the tires after the Eastside cam goes in my car this april.... so let's see, according ot the math.... 415hp x .85 = 488 HP. 450 at the crank with bolton's and a cam should be no problem. Hell, I'd say 475 should be relatively attainable. But the 600 that the thread starter is looking for... not gonna happen without FI or spray... unless he is calling those bolton's

Sorry...just feeling grumpy today. Bolting on a 427 would be a nice start...I think that is really the only way you'll do it N/A without too radical of a setup. If you don't have the money for that, you'll have to bolt on a blower or go the turbo route, or make sure it can huff large amounts of the laughing gas. Why such high aspirations? I'd like to go bragging to my friends that I have 600 HP, but I'm sure they'd laugh at me as I'd probably have a hard time controling it on the streets.

In my books, a supercharger is a bolt on

The cheapest way is like JRP said-N2O. With a big cam and a 150 shot of juice you'll be there. Given these aren't bolt ons and you will need all the "bolt ons" first.
