how hard is it to install the rain blocker thing? do you have to do it way ahead of time incase it rains or can you do it under a cover in a few secs? i want this kit, but i drive in the rain alot, so thats why ive held out.

Literally, about 3-5 seconds. Snap out gasket and snap in rainblocker. I go out and do it in the rain. It takes me longer to open the hood than to put the rainblocker in.

Thanks everybody for posting and helping me to try and decide to buy it. Im still not sure because i am for sure going FI. But if i do then we should get ahold of speed inc. or a different sponsor and try to get a GP going on these things. It seems lots of people want it, but it does cost a lot. If we can get a GP, then i would most definately buy them, FI or not. And just sell it later.

I think people tried to get a gp on this last year and all we got was free shipping.
Good Luck with that.

Oh well it doesnt really hurt to try. But hopefully a sponsor will step up and do it. Never know until you ask.

I already knocked out the baffles in mine so I am half way there. Get a GP going, I would be interested too!

Yeah, like No Juice said, good luck on a gp. There were many excuses why they couldn't do a gp, apparently he (Brian Greene) doesn't make as much off these as you'd think he would. I paid full price and IMO if every LS1 mod fit this well I'd pay extra for all of it.

That's true, it totally looks factory. I even painted the rainblocker and the space under the air filter black to look better. It is worth the price.

Hey, does anyone know if this will fit or could be modified to fit an slp firehawk hood? I would really like this mod but don't want to spend the money just to cut it up and have a mess. If any one has done this please list mods and or pictures and how it came out.

I'm pretty sure it only fits stock WS6 hoods.
