Flames coming out of my tailpipes
Flames coming out of my tailpipes i have flames coming out of my tailpipes when i fire up the car from a cold start. its a H/C car with LT headers and i do have a muffler on there(Borla catback). i got a friend of mine to fire it up and actual flames came out about 6in from both tailpipes. i have never seen this on another LS1 car. what would be causing this?? I dont wanna be a Fast and Furious car!

Are you serious? Oh my God! Are you sure you didn't stick a spark plug in your exhaust. There are some people that told me that they could make their cars shoot flames if they stick a spark plug into the pipe. I understand that you don't like that, but is it like a huge flame? Either way, make sure you don't park near a pile of leaves... lol!
Muffers dont do anything to stop sparks, especially borla. I have a friend that has a stock car with exhaust and he always puts on a firework show. On my car I spit flames out the back inbetwene shifts at times.

Cold start + rich mixture = unburnet gas. Happens to the best of us. Specially in the colder part of the season. Nothing to worry about, just lean your mixture a bit. Maybe increase timing to help burn that fuel.
