Default pulleys

I know this has been asked a hundred times but the SEARCH function is fucked up.

Are underdrive and alternator pulley really worth any gains? Or should I waist my money on something else.

Yes they are worth it. They usually are good for about 10rwhp. Even if you don't feel any gain, you will for sure notice that the engine revs faster. With your mods, an underdrive pulley is a good next mod.

I noticed the motor reving faster....I jump into another LS1 without a pulley and it feels like it takes forever to get to redline.

I don't care if I feel it, I just want to see the gains on a time slip.

Will it affect anything adversly in hot weather?

If you plan on doing a Cam soon just wait till you put the cam in to do it. I would say get the pulley. I can't tell you how much it helps cause I did Cam,Pulley, and Intake all at one time then Ported TB.

I noticed more of a "seat of the pants" feel from my UD pulley than I did from my lid. Good mod that I would do again {can't say that about all my mods}.

When you guys say you did the pulley mode, are you saying you did just the crank or crank and alternator together? Also aren't these pullies pretty expensive? I thought I read they were like 250 bucks, which seems like alot of money.

$250 for mods is nothing in the LS1 world.

Well it will make go through your RPMs quicker which obviously makes your ET better. I bet if you put Aluminum flywheel, carbonfiber Driveshaft, and ASP pulley with some 4:11...you would go through your rpm's a HELL of alot faster which is what you want for 1/4 mile..
