Hell.. I've got a cam and headers now.. and I still haven't paid for a tune. Just a $150 mail order tune.

I never said my setup was untuned. I've retuned with every internal upgrade I've done. I experienced SLP LT's from stock until Heads/Cam in the following setups:

1) Bolt-ons
2) MTI C1/ Stock Heads
3) TSP 231/237/ Stock Heads (Y and X pipes)
4) TSP 231/237/ TEA 1.5's/ LS6 intake (X and Y pipes); SLP's for 9months, QTP's for 3.

5) TSP 231/237/ TEA 1.5's/ FAST90 (Y pipe) QTP

The QTP's plain and simply have more response all around with #4 setup.

#3 setup ran 12.1 @ 118 (winter)
#4 (with SLP's) ran 11.8 @ 118 (dog days of summer)
similar 60's.

QTP/FAST 90 untested @ track, no dyno yet.

That isn't bad... raceweight?

I am hoping for 118 traps after I go back to the track with the ls6 and pulley. Should be getting a dyno tune soon.

No weight reduction. Full interior. Only suspension mod at the time was a BMR Extreme Sway bar. Driven to the track after work and only prep done is deflation of the BFG DR's. No powershifting either. 60's ranged between mid 1.7's and mid 1.8's.

Good luck!

I love it!
Here's a low quality clip I recorded with my cell phone: series is open/closed.

Too add to the whole clearance argument, the dual cutout Y will lose a little clearance over the non cutout Y, but I have more clearance than my old SLP setup.

It's on the A-pillar. I feel silly driving around with a big ol' tach, but the shiftlight in my face has helped tons. If I were to do it again, I'd just get a big light.
