It's pretty simple. Just unbolt the clamshell from the motor and pedestal, drill out the rivits, remove the old rubber mount, insert and bolt in the prothane mount, and reinstall clamshell to motor and pedestal. Do one side at a time. It's really not that bad when you actually get in there to do it. If you want more detail just holla

what about the parts on the prothane piece that you have to drill? and what side is up, and what side is down (the side with 2 nubs, or with 4 nubs)

thanks

I didn't have to drill anything on the prothane piece. The only thing that I recall drilling were the rivets on the clamshell. I'm pretty sure that the prothane mount will only go in there one way. Although I could be wrong.... it's been a few years since I installed mine.

you can put them in two ways actually, with the tabs on the metal at the top or bottom .....

drill the rivets out on the clamshell and then drill the holes on the other end with a 3/8 or slightly larger bit

im working on some for a friend right now and they are a pita to install and this is my 2nd set installing

drivers side is the beeyyaaach

Tabs go up. Look at the clam shell and it will be self explanitory. The bolts go to the car.

where did you get your mounts? The only sponsor I've found that lists them is Thunder and I had a bad experience with them before and promised myself not to buy anything from them.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experiance with thunder because they have been awesome to me for the last 5 years. But, you can order them from Summit for $39.99.

Also, according to my directions, the bolts go away from the car (insert bolts from bottom side of clamshell). I know there is a thread about this already. I would do a search because there is more info out there..
