Default Can someone tell me what this is ??

http://ls1howto.com/howto/geniii/ls6...er_removed.jpg

In the above picture , I cant find anything that would plug into the connector shown at the very back, it is beside the tall sensor with a brass bottom. ( the one with the silver bolt right beside it )

Does anybody know what sensor this is and where the wiring originates from . . . then I can maybe track it down

From the picture, it kind of looks like the MAP sensor that plugs into the back of the intake manifold...

Thanks guys,

you know what I did . . . one of the coil pack harneses was un pluged for some reason and I had only 2 unused connectors . . . for what I thought was three plugs. Anyways long story short I spent all day turning my hands and arms into swiss cheese looking for an extra wire that didnt exist meanwhile the cam sensor wire was right infront of me

My momma told me thered be days like today

Mine is a '99 as well and I just swapped my intake manifold to LS6 and I don't remember the EOP being there... that would be something that I feel i would notice Maybe it's just not as obtrusive as it looks in the pic... that along with the CMP that I don't remember seeing.

The EOP is what everyone tells you to be careful NOT to break off when swapping intakes.

You have to have one because it's what tells the gauge you have oil pressure. May not be in the identical spot, but you do have one.

I didn't see one on my 98. Well, in that location.

Yea, it's gotta be somewhere slightly different.
