That does sound great! What exactly is done to the car though? Stock internals? Headers (brand)? Cats/no cats? And is that Borlamouth set-up an SLP Loudmouth with a Borla XR1 muffler in place of the resonator? Just curious because it did sound badA$$...

Thanks,

Mike

I think it has macs, ory, and a loudmouth with the resonator replaced with the borla muffler. I dont know if it has a cam.

stock internals, MAC mids, offroad-Y (no cats), & an SLP Loudmouth with I'm guessing that Borla XR1 muffler welded in place of the resonator...

How does his set-up compare overall to yours? You have LT's, ORY, & the GMMG, correct?

Thanks,

Mike

well the volume didnt seem to change alot. the exhaust was more refined and just as deep as before. FUll throttle actually sounds better IMHO. It felt like i picked back up some low end torque too.I havent ran it since my changes.

All my car has is whats in my sig.
Thanks again dug for the hosting.
let me know fi you have any questions guys! Thanks again for the compliments!

oops. I did not ever have a loudmouth exhaust. i had a guy make me a custom Y after the I pipe to mimic the loudmouth and thats where i originally had my bullet placed. Hardtop00SS welded my borla in the same spot where my bullet was. I cant imagine the real loudmouth sounding any different than what i had

Hardtop00SS's exhaust sounds so much better than mine. even when he had the GMMG. now he's got a Mufflex exhaust with a dynomax something muffler on it with a turndown. It soounds mighty fine!

I agree, those XR-1s refine the sound alot. After I installed LT headers with ORY my Borla cat-back sounded like crap. That is until I put a Borla XR-1 in the I-pipe right in back of the ORY. Now it just sounds amazing!

Yup. You should hear mine with a nasty cam and Hooker LTs/ORY...downright evil when at idle. I've had guys literally run over to my car and ask what's in it...too bad not many chicks have the same reaction

3.5 mufflex with dynomax ultraflo to be exact , the GMMG sounded pretty good with LT's, ORY, pretty raspy at 1900 RPM, but at WOT, it sounded awesome, but man the DRONE! I had too many headaches and I had to get rid of it....

I'm running a bullet in the I-Pipe of my GMMG and it got rid of all the drone and almost all the rasp. Sounds awesome now.

so it's quieter inside the car then before the bullet? See that was my only problem, the damn drone just killed, it wasn't how loud it was outside, but the DRONE!

You think the drone is that bad with no cats running through a GMMG system? My LT1 used to have no cat with headers & the GMMG and that thing had NO drone at all around town...In fact, it wasn't very loud at all inside the car...I only ended up putting a cat back on because I didn't like the sound of the ORP...Now it sounds much, much better, but is way too quiet for me...

I dunno, the one thing I've noticed about the GMMG is that it does a great job of keeping the sound outside the car and not within...I've experienced very, very little drone with it and used it on three different cars now (including with LT's & highflow cats on my LS1 as well). The Loudmouth I used to have a long time ago had a noticeable and annoying drone though.

yea it was pretty bad, loved the sound, but the drone with LT's, ORY was too much, I drove home from Maryland to Richmond (hour) and when I got home, my ear were ringing and I couldn't hear a damn thing. I have a 6 speed with 4.10's if it matters...
