My car was on a 2 post lift & I ended up putting a trans jack up against up mufflers & pushing up until the tq arm started to twist then attached my rear mounts. Now when I let her down I have clearance as seen in the pic. I have never had any bumping/banging since installing the duals. I think the only way it would hit is if I was getting airborne.

this is the best i can do for ya...i have aftermarkey bmr adjustable torque arm and 3" sweet thunder duals...

i am also lowered with the eibach pro-kit and i have no problems at all with stuff...as long as i go slow over speed bumps i don't scrape...i scrape the front end thing fairly often but never the exhaust...

Edit: here is another one that may help more

Now was that necessary? FYI, I got my welder at Home Depot and it was $400!

JRP ... got a solution for you man ... coated Mac's and custom Y/ditch the LT's ... j/k ... good luck with the issues you're havin' ... hope you get them ironed out. Someday I'll do true duals, so, I'm not lowering my car ... specifically for that reason. Again, good luck.

I was sooo close. BTW we send customers to you all the time for the TD systems we don't offer or intend to make.

With all the horror stories I have heard about TSP and other duals hanging low, I was surprised that I'm getting away w/ running longtubes and TSP Duals w/ Eibach Sportlines. I love the stance the car has w/ the springs and the sound of the TSP duals is just amazing. I just adjusted my exhaust till I felt it was good. I also had a hoist and a tranny jack to help things along. I currently am bringing the duals under the axle and out the back, can't wait. I have some new pics if anyone is interested of the duals from the back of the car.

Id love to see pictures of your entire true dual setup from headers to the back.

I just installed a set of pacesetters and will be doing my TSP TD's tommorow. So far, the Pacesetters seem to tuck in EXTREMELY well, I mean as it is, i dont see why people have clearance issues with LTs on lowered cars (mine is VERY low, but the LTs seem to clear better than my shorties w/ cats)

I think the only LT's that people are experiencing trouble with is the SLP LT's. They hang lower than the others.

I have the TSP TD's, and can honestly say, with the stock TA, it's a very tough tradeoff between ground clearance, and clearing the stock TA. I went to a aftermarket tubular adj. TA. Since then, I now have more groud clearance than my old hooker ORY had.

BTW, I am lowered more than a sportline spring car is in the front, with a stock spring in the rear.

Good Luck with it JRP. Best thing i can say is load your rear axle, put plenty of WD-40 on all the joints, and jack up the bullets with jacks to get it nice and high before bolting it through the floor!

theres mine. Hooker Lt's mated to Lanes 3'' Duals. clearance isnt really an issue. ive scraped once, with two people in the back seat when i first got them put on. ive never had problems since. ill get more pics when the car is out of the shop.

and FWIW, TSP and Lane both have great products. and i for one have done business with both and will again in the future...so whats with all the commotion?

JRP,

I suggest gettin a edelbrock adjustable or the bmr track pack...both will allow a lot more room for the torque arm but im not sure you want to have a tranny or body mounted tq arm. FWIW, I have the true duals and have never scraped once but am at stock height. I am also on shitty washington roads and have hit speed bumps every day on my way out of work and through pot holed roads. You just have to **** with em. I jacked up my rearend under the pumpkin all the way up, then jacked up the true duals under the x-pipe all the way up and drilled holes and bolted em up.

I have about 3.75" of ground clearance which is more than most lowered cars and am doing fine. Just play with it until you get it where you want. It's just a great setup for the cash.

Nate

I just finished intalling my LTs/True Duals and my car is pretty damn low.

I just drove from Irvine, CA to Los Angeles and back and only scraped like twice...but my car is bouncy and in need of new shocks. Basically, I got enough clearance back there. I'll take some pictures soon.

Did you already flip the fuel lines brackets that run down the driveshaft tunnel? that's what i had to do in order to tuck my TD's more.

nah, will the lines bend up far enough to flip the bracket upside down?

Absolutely, gave me much more access. However, I think your limiting factor seems to be your Torque arm.

Here are 2 pics of the exhaust. The headers fit great. Nice and tight to body and no rubbing at all and lots a clearance from the ground.
O yea and I started messing w/ the right turn down to run them out the back so it looks messed up!!! I also have better pics of the headers fitment but they are on my brothers computer so it would take a few days to get them, but until then, this is the best I can do. Pretty weak, but o well.
