what clearance lol.. ill try to get a pick but i had to sacrafice ground clearance for any torque arm clearance. so anytime i have someone ride with me its a common thing to bottom out under the most minimal bumps.

hence the reason for my post . im wondering if im stuck with loosing ground clearance or loosing tq arm clearance. i dont got dick for ground clearance right now and im trying to rework the setup to see what i can do.

yea luckily i have stock ride height still or imo it would be a worthless attempt. unless somehow you could rework how the tubing crossed by the t.a. i think im gonna attempt moving it over when i finish it off to the back of the car

I have the same issues with my setup, that thing hangs damn low. PLEASE let us know if you find a way to tuck them up better, I have to keep mine off the fuel lines as it is right now.

should have bought Lane's duals.LOL mine tuck up nice and tight and even with people and stuff in the back of mine I have never had the torque arm hit and my car sits low. But what you might wanna look at is how the angle of the pipe from the X to the muffler is then maybe you can adjust the bullets to get your clearance.

Here ya go JRP. Sorry if they are too small. I don't have these on anymore cause of my ground clearance issues. I've got the Hooker Catback, and hopefully once I get my poly trans mount, I'll be completely happy with this ORY setup.

and yes, those are SLP boxed SFC's. I can't believe my muffs hang lower than them. BTW, I have the sweet thunder chambered mufflers. If I still had bullets...

My mufflers are fine. It is the driver side section behind the collector that is lowest. To get my x positioned higher, I bought a torque arm and banged in my drive shaft tunnel in a few spots. This gave my the clearance that I needed in the back.

Where does the top of a beer can come to when you place it under the muffler? Under the section directly behind your header collector clamp?

hey jerami, y dont u run a couple of reducers off the back of the x pipe and run 2.5" pipes back with maybe some smaller diameter mufflers. i think that would cure both of your problems.....better ground clearance and torque arm clearance. im runnin a full 2.5" x pipe with sweet thunder mufflers and im gonna bang the **** outta my floorboard so everything will tuck up nice. i believe the sweet thunder mufflers are 3" diameter. im installing everything tomorrow...i cant wait!! i will post some pics so yall can check out my clearance. anyway, good luck jerami

the clearance issue is the x-pipe. there isnt enough clearance from the tq arm to pivot the bullets up any higher. been looking to get a new tq arm but i dont know how much extra clearance i'll have. right now the bullets are like 2 inches off the ground with the x-pipe touching the tq arm.

Can you post up some pics? Are you lowered?

I know I've already said this in another post of yours, but are you sure the x is on the right way? Have you tried flipping it to see if you get better clearance?

Man, this is exactly why I switched back to my ORY setup. I'd rather deal with a banging y-pipe than the poor clearance of TD's on a lowered car.

If your x is on the wrong way, one of your bullets will not clear the torque arm.

Here's mine w/ Eibach sportlines. I rarely scrapes believe it or not. It has been slightly reworked since the pics were taken. I have about a finger between my TQ arm and X pipe, maybe little less.

i've got plenty of room to push my bullets up its just that the x hits the tq arm before i can really get the bullets turcked.

mine looks like jj's but im at stock ride height. i've got the X fabbed up like 86_Iroc with the angle of the X pointed up.

pffftt, guess im just stuck with shitty ground clearance

Jerami,

What torque arm you running? I'm having Billingsley Fab one up to match my dual exhaust. However I know a lot of guys are going with the Alston to fit the Duals.

Floyd.
