For those with MAC's\MAC ORY
Just wanted to share information in hopes of helping people in the same situation I was in. My MAC ORY collector was a little bit smaller than my Borla Intermediary pipe ... couldn't get it to seal ... the original narrow band clamp just would tighten it down enough to seal it.
I hauled *** down to NAPA and picked up a 2 3/4" long (or round) stainless steel band clamp. It's about 4" wide ... torqued it down and it literally molded like a glove to the contour of the collector and I-pipe ... perfect seal!!!! I was so glad because I had thought about either a custom ORY for about $200.00 or welding the damned thing and messing up my Borla I-pipe.
Hope this helps somebody

I just delt with this to day. I just put on a new GMMG last night & the I pipe had a pretty good gap in it. I tightned it all the way, it still had a little gap. So I took a cut off wheel on a die grinder, & cut a few small slits down the I pipe, about 1.5'' down. Under the clamp. That takes some metal out so it can collapse down to size. Worked fine. Good info though.

I had thought about doing that. The difference is this. I plan on going true duals eventually and I didn't want to take metal out of the I-pipe ... for when I sell my Borla catback. My I-pipe (as most I-pipes do) has slits cut into it but they are just not wide enough ... thought about widening them a bit to do the same thing you did. You probably plan on keep your GMMG permanently. I'm glad you overcame the issue 'cause I know how it feels to cure such an aggravating issue, when it comes to exhaust.
