asp pulley install

bout to install this damn thing

what can i do to keep the motor from turning over, I have an A4. Can I put it into gear before hand to prevent that?

I read that it's beneficial to see a longer than stock bolt w/the new pulley?

On an A4 car, you will need to drop the starter, install an flywheel locking tool, or you can also just wedge a screwdriver in.

isn't there a cover or something I can pull back? or do I have to drop the starter?

Bingo on that! I personally dont think the ASP pulley needs the longer bolt to install. I put my pulley in the oven at 250 to expand it and it slid on a good way. The bolt screwed in quite a ways and pulled on the pulley nicely. Also with the ASP pulley you may fear that its not seated on all the way because of like an 1/8th inch gap between it and the timing cover. From what Ive researched it seems to be normal. Im still praying til this day hahaha. Good Luck
