I just ordered the FTRA and would like your opinions on what I should expect from it as far as intallation and performance, problems while driving in the rain ,etc.

No problems. Don't know exact power gains. It's supposed to "increase gas mileage" and all that good stuff. It gives off a slight whistle sounds that sounds good.

Good luck

Wow, I haven't heard about this system in a while. Installation is pretty straight forward. It gives a nice route for the incoming air. Some noticed a higher temp. due to it blocking some of the radiator. I also remember a few that hit puddles and it hydrolocked the engine. There wern't many, but if it was yours it would not be good. I believe it came with a block off plate to put on in case of a flood.

You would have to go in like a 1 1/2 to 2 feet of water for any problems to happen. Just take your time installing it and it should go pretty easy.

When my g/f asked me what I wanted for christmas this past year, I told her I wanted the FTRA because I had heard more good things about it than say SSRA and SLP. Installation wasn't bad, it does come with a block off plate that only takes a couple of minutes to put on, and it does work really well. And my gas mileage went up as well!!
