Porting your stock throttle body
How hard is this to do on your own?? Is it something that should be sent out and done professionally?? Thanks for the help!!

my friend did it with a dremmel and lots of time...i would say spend the money and send it to bo white. he has done some of the best porting i have seen. when i have downtime with my car i am gonna send mine to him to get that sweet shiny porting!

Do it yourself. It only takes a couple of hours and some dremmel drum sanders. I don't know about you but money saved is a good thing. And you can say that you ported it yourself.

You can port it yourself but most do not I guess because of know how, time and equipment. I can do yours up for ya like previously mentioned anytime- just let me know. Thanx for the recommendations fellas

I would second the motion to have it done by a professional. Just because you remove a lot of material doesnt mean you did a good job. Consistency and taper angle are very important. Plus knowing just how much you can remove before going through the walls comes from expierience. I will see if i can get some pics of mine up tonight.

I did my own and probably spent 8 hours on it, what
with the two epoxy & bake cycles etc. I already had
the tools (die grinder and sanding drum kit for 3/4";
Dremels suck for price, removal speed and service life).
I also trust my hand at that kind of thing. Even so I
did well to layer on the protective tape about the
seating circle.
I ported a truck core & swapped on my shaft/pulley,
sensors & fittings. So I would have only been out the
core cost if I screwed up.
So I paid myself slightly more than minimum wage to
do it but I have the pride of ownership, or whatever.
