It's a piece of cake, I did mine myself for cheap. It doesn't take long at all. Maybe a couple of hours, depending what all you want to do to it. Do it yourself, or Bo White does great work for cheap. His tb's look incredible.

Do it yourself. It only takes a couple of hours and some dremmel drum sanders. I don't know about you but money saved is a good thing. And you can say that you ported it yourself.

I got mine from Jantzer, he does an amazing job. I say that its best to just send yours in to get it ported to save time. I thought about porting my own, but its a lot of work.

Looking at the pics of tb's that Bo White ported. For $65, he does a super nice job, and has dynoed it. I was going to do mine myself, but I'm going to have him do it.

You can port it yourself but most do not I guess because of know how, time and equipment. I can do yours up for ya like previously mentioned anytime- just let me know. Thanx for the recommendations fellas

I would second the motion to have it done by a professional. Just because you remove a lot of material doesnt mean you did a good job. Consistency and taper angle are very important. Plus knowing just how much you can remove before going through the walls comes from expierience. I will see if i can get some pics of mine up tonight.

If I had known better 4 months ago I would've sent mine to Bo. I bought a TB from Jantzer and it's been OVER 3 months and it's still not here...that guy sucks.

I did my own and probably spent 8 hours on it, what
with the two epoxy & bake cycles etc. I already had
the tools (die grinder and sanding drum kit for 3/4";
Dremels suck for price, removal speed and service life).
I also trust my hand at that kind of thing. Even so I
did well to layer on the protective tape about the
seating circle.

I ported a truck core & swapped on my shaft/pulley,
sensors & fittings. So I would have only been out the
core cost if I screwed up.

So I paid myself slightly more than minimum wage to
do it but I have the pride of ownership, or whatever.
