yeah, always allow time for things to pack. my friend had a hooker on a 95 T/A and for the first thousand miles or so it sounded like *** honestly. you could hear the ping of metal. magnaflow isnt very loud inside a car or even at idle, but god its nice at wide open throttle. i got magnapacks on my GT stang and at idle you cant even tell. but at WOT you can tell there are no cats on it, and i've had some vette guys look at me and ask what it was. refering to the first post, you might also check into gmmg. it sounds great, but also is a little quiet at idle.

If you like it loud and want it loud, then you might want to make the same choice I did. I went with the Loudmouth. A buddy of mine has it on his Z28 and when I first heard it, I was like I Love the way it sounds and I get lots of compliments on mine. It also flows really great.

Do any of you guys who say your magnaflow SCREAMS at wot have just the muffler, or do all of you have the catback? I have just the muffler and the stock I pipe. I'm beginning to wonder if the piping with the catback setup could make a difference in sound. Is it possible?

I have stock exhaust manifolds(for now), 3" ORY, and the Magnaflow catback and I love it. At idle, it's not loud at all, but then again, I don't have headers or a cam yet. But once the RPMS get up, it starts to sound damn good, especially when you are at 3500rpms and floor it in 1st

Can't wait to hear what it sounds like with QTP/Kooks and an F11.

Look 855 and anyone else who has only a Magnaflow catback and that's it, wait unitl you get the longtubes and the ORY. It'll get louder. Hell, what I recommend is doing what I did. Have LT, ORY, Magnaflow, and an electric cutout. I'm as happy as I can be with this setup. Nice low-key rumble when closed. And insane mischief noise when open. Done.

You should have listened to sound clips first but why worry about how loud your car is that is so ricer. Like people say the magnaflow sounds good wot and some headers and ory will help you achieve the sound you like and more importantly free some HP.

Personally I love the magnaflow. Its hella louder than stock but still a low throaty rumble at idle and at WOT it does bark quite nice. Headers and some other mods added to it like most peeps have said will make it louder too. But to each their own.

I love my Magnaflow. If anything it's too loud. I do have LT's and an off road Y. It is reasonable to cruise with. It just gets insane above 5K. I thought the Cat back wasn't doing much until I opened the cut-out. now that is rediculous. I don't know how people can stand LM with LT's and a cam. Insane.

I Love my TSP rumbler. If you are stock other than a catback, I think it is one of the best sounding most affordale systems. It is a lot louder than stock, with not much interior drone at cruising speed. WOT sounds sweet! If you go with long tubes, and no cats the TSP gets really raspy. Just my .02
