Default Magnaflow install Question

I am pretty much at a loss for what to do right now. I have the system in and all of that, but the hanger that goes on the over axle pipe and screws into the car seems to be off for some reason. The pipe looks to be in place and fits perfect. Its just that the oem fasteners for the hanger is way off. It says to use the oem hanger for the over axle pipe, but there is no way that it is going to scew in right. Am I missing something here? Also the tips dont line up right and are pretty much going in different directions, any tips to get the tips lined up right?
I appreciate any help you guys can give me - Thanks

been a while since i installed mine but i dont remember any problems that stood out. i had some interference with the over the axel pipe pipe and the heat shielding. nothing a pipe cutter couldnt fix. tip alignment was pretty straight forward and after about 10 minutes of ******* with them they lined up nice.

I had the same problem with my old magnaflow, I took it to a exhaust shop for the hanger issue which I think they just bent the **** out of it but it worked. The tips I could never get to set even , one side stuck out a little further and it really bothered me. I guess that is why I have the Hooker now. Try bending the stock hanger to alter your fit and good luck on your tips.

same thing here. Had a real hard time with the stock hanger. It kept slipping out and making the exits uneven. Then I realized I had hung the stock hanger in the REVERSE position. .

Flipped it around, and they are even now in both height and depth. Best of luck man.

im not sure how your set up looks but i had to cut a few inches off my Ipipe where it mates with the Ypipe to get mine to fit. Then i took a pair of pliars and pulled on the stock hanger backwards so that i could thread the bolt. Then i pushed up on the muffler allowing the part of the muffler facing towards the front of the car to sag a little and the tips came out straight with the passenger side extending outwards a little further ( 1/4" or so ) from the driver side one. I just got done with the install and it wasnt as easy as i expected but a little cutting and pushing and it worked.

Yeah same problem with my previous Magnaflow. I bolted it to the over the axle pipe and seen which direction it needed to go and them pounded on it with a hammer. It seems like I even bolted the hanger on backwards. Anyhow good luck..

Alright guys it turns out that I am mentally retarded after all . When taking off the old exhaust I didnt unbolt part of the hanger still attached to it . So now after I unbolted this hanger from the old exhaust. The Magnaflow went on without any more problems. Thanks for all the advice I appreciate it
