Default Serious Post Only!!!

I know this post has been settled many times... but there's more to this one. Im trying to proove something here, and the proven fact is... Say If you have taken the time to save up enough money to buy any Header out there.. stainless or coated or what not... then which one would you buy today???

Put it to the test, show us which header's are the best???

Ps- This isn't a popularity vote so vote on what you would buy, not what you already have!

Get the Pacesetters and use the rest to fabricate true duals!

Pace Setters look nice for a while, but I regrett being cheap when I saw the coating was pealing because of rust

My reasoning behind the SLP's - true 409 stainless. My coating wore off the bends and they still look good. I just think the Kooks have the best #'s and are good quality

I also have the Slp headers very good quality but produced low #s and if you have any ground clearance issues you do not want these, if I replace them I'll more than likely go with Kooks so they get my vote.

arent the Kooks more expensive?

I got Hooker, non coated, and they are rusting a little but still work fine. I went for the best bang for my buck at the time, not what would look good (if I had plenty of $ I would get Kooks)

well they are right...IMO its either cheap or expensive..there is no in between... i thought there was and went with a middle of the line hooker coated set a while back..(not super cheap like pacesetters but not super high like the kooks) well i NEVER drove my car in the rain...maybee 5 times in a years time max...my collectors were starting to rust on the hookers after less than a year. so with that being said..im just gonna go with a cheap set of pacesetters uncoated..i mean ****..if most are like me you change stuff around so much they prolly wont be on there very long anyway and youll want something else..and hell...they cant do much worse than my hookers..they were coated and they rusted so what the hell..i wish i could afford the kooks..but i cant justify it. thats too much..if i were to drive my car daily in teh rain snow and shine..it would be worth every penny..but since i dont..ill just get the cheapies..hell for 284 in 2 years if they rust through i can buy a new set for still less than half of some of the top shelf brands..

in the long wrong you end up paying more for cheaper **** then you would if you'd of opted for the slightly more expensive set in the beggining.

its already been proven several times of HP gains of people switching from slp, jethot/hookers, pace setters to Kooks/Qtp's.

I bought Pacesetters and if I had to do it all over I would have bought QTP or Kooks. My pacesetters are holding up fine and no problems other than minor rust, but I wish that I would have spent the extra 350-400 on the better headers.

Kooks all the way I have been reading and waiting to make my decision about which headers I was going to order until the other day when I finally ordered my KOOKS. I feel really good about that decision. FOr the longest time I was torn between Kooks/QTP or some sort of ceramic coated headers. But after reading all the stories about the other headers, I decided there really was no reason for me not to spend the extra $$. It will be worth it in the end. I also like the fact that I am going to be worry free with my purchase. You get what you pay for. Judging by the results of this poll, I believe this settles the other poll.

Can only speak for myself, Pacesetters have been on since June of 03, #'s in sig. I bought them in a GP from TSP for 500 shipped, coated headers and Y pipe! The coating is still perfect and I would never spend the 3-500 dollars over that for QTP's or Kooks even though I might gain 5-10 hp. No disrespect to either vendor their product is top notch no ifs and or buts!! But from my perspective I can find better ways to spend that money.

If money is tight...get pacesetters and a cam. If I did it over again id prolly do the pacesetters/duals/cam.

Kooks and QTPs are def better quality.
