Well FWIW. I'm limited sometimes when it comes to mods that's why my car is still stock.

My fiance purchased a set of coated Pacesetter's for me for $400.
Today I just bought a set of used TSP TD's for $300
A local guy is putting my LT's on for $75.

So for $775 I'm gonna have myself a nice exhaust set-up. Like I said if you have $800 JUST for LT's then go all out, but if you have $800 for a whole set-up then I would recommend the above.

Goodluck.

I'd personally recommend the Dynatech Supermaxx system. It comes as a kit with EVERYTHING possibly needed. The headers, Y-pipe and cats are all stainless steel. With Jet-Hot coating on the headers they ended out $150 less than the Kooks for everything. Ground clearance is very good too.

Most important, I picked up .31sec and 2mph in the 1/4 mile with them.

You don't need stainless in Florida. Plus stainless retains to much heat for me.
Coated Pacesetters all the way for me.

kooks/ QTP make good tq/power, plain and simple. also, i think its better to buy headers uncoated and then send them out yourself to get coated. seems to have worked better for me.

QTP/Kooks for me. I've got Pacesetters, should have gone better. My friend has SW and they are 10x better than mine, but I don't see them around lately, but they are definatly good set from what my buddy has told me.

Same old argument.......I have to agree with the Pacesetter guys. I know the Kooks/QTP are THE best you can get. With that said, even if I had something like $1500 to spend, I'd still go with the Pacestters. I paid right around $500 for my Pacesetters with the TD's. That leaves me with roughly $300 to put into something else. So the Pacesetters will rust.......I care not. They will still work years from now. Even if after 5-6 years they finally rust through, I can still buy another set and be well under the price for the stainless steel. Yes, if I had gone with the Stainless steel to begin with, this would be a moot point. But after seeing how easy the headers were to install, I would rather put that extra money to something else. My sig is a little misleading, however, I gained .5 and 4 MPH with my Pacesetters, TD's and a lid. This was replacing the stock dual/dual which flows very well. My .02, 500-600 bucks is not worth the 5-10 rwhp. That extra money could be put towards a stall or a cam in my case. All that said, the Kooks/QTP's are still the best out there!

Actually, you probably won't make any more power with QTP's than pacestters. If you do I'll bet it's <5rwhp. One of the other "rules" is that "all longtube headers make essentially the same power". If you spring for high velocity merge collectors you can make more, but most people don't as they are very expensive on top of what you are already paying for the headers.

Had SLP's went to QTP's and love them. SLP's are made very well but hang low and don't perform up to the QTP's. I can't stand **** that rusts. Makes engine bay look discustuing. If I didn't get QTP's I would go with the Kooks for sure.

Bang for buck...pacesetters. I guess it depends on your mindframe. Mine in this situation would definitely get all that you can for your money. While I'm not a quantity over quality kind of person, for the most part, I am in this situation. Somewhat the same as getting a sams choice soda over a coca-cola and then getting a candy bar with the remaining money. That just makes sense to me and it's basically the same. I guess it depends on whether you want to go for the name or for the HP. Stainless steel would definitely hold up longer, but is it needed in your application? Do you intend to have the car long enough to warrant the price tag of those bad boys? I think paying that kind of price for one set of headers would definitely be a form over function case...but if that's what you're into, go for it.

my vote is a another brand, dynatech. Their kit is a complete kit and easy to install. Their cats are pratically see-through so you shouldnt worry about any power being lost, though it is usually minimal with cats....tone is greatly affected however.

The y-pipe isnt in a million pieces and the whole systems tucks up real nice.......

well worth the money and stainless, of course, and flow just as good as any other big name header out there!!!

Default Dynatechs

I just finished a dynatech install this weekend and the were easier to install than getting the OEM manifolds out of the car. I would highly recommend this set of header.
