difference bwteen X and H pipe???

Default difference bwteen X and H pipe???

what , if any, are the main differences between and H and X pipe..my buddies and I have discussed it but I want to know for sure....and what is better on a 2002 Camaro SS with soon to have Pacesetter LT's installed, and oh yeah, !cats....

They're both designed to balance pressure between the two pipes and improve scavenging in a dual exhaust. The X-pipe does it slightly more efficiently than the H-pipe because of the smooth flow through the softer bends. it also doesn't make a difference per vehicle.

A lot of people claim the H-pipe sounds more like a muscle car too.

The X is going to give you better torque gains though. Most people go with the X for performance and the H for sound, although both sound pretty damn good. It's all about priorities.

x will give you more hp up top while the h gives you a low rumble

X pipe - more mid/high end power, raw sound, flows better then H
H Pipe - more low end, more refined, deep tone.

power difference between the 2 is minimal IMO

I would be willing to bet there is less than 5hp difference between x,h, andno crossover at all.

X-Pipe also rasps more than an H-Pipe.

I've had both H and X and I like the X better. I prefer the sound and the SOTP gain that I felt with the new X..
