Do you mean FREE True Ram Air?
I wouldn't waste my money on one of those sheet metal ducts if that's what you're talking about.
Don't bother trying to nickel and dime your way to more horsepower.
Get a lid, exhaust, do the free mods and then save for headers, nitrous or a cam or forced induction.
the best bolt on is long tube headers.

I disagree. I installed the FTRA and my car felt alot better. I just sold mine due to going with forced induction and cant use it anymore. I was stuck at 12.4@115. I installed it and went to the track the next week weather and DA were almost the same and ran 12.2@117 To say the least I was impressed.

I installed the FTRA and didn't gain much of crap...as was said, don't nickel and dime your way to more HP. Save your money and buy something that will give you noticeable gains (like a cam, headers, etc).

in my opinion i would get the BGRA system if u got the newer ram air hood. it is better than the FRTA. it make the "nostrils" on the hood fully functional & force twice as much air in as the hood would normally. best buy & power for a Trans Am for the money.

This is what the "parts wanted" and "parts for sale" sections are for.

Logging IATs will show another benefit of a FTRA over the FRA mod. Especially when the car is stationary like when staging.

What, that you will be getting a lot of heated air from right in front of the radiator?

Have you actually seen the difference with a scanner? I have. Yes the air in front of the A/C condenser is cooler than the air above the radiator. You will never be convinced though.

As have I. Those weren't the results I got. I'll be happy to check them again though if it'll make you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
