Default removing EGR and AIR

any negatives about removing these? it ranges from 0-100F in temps in michigan and my car is my daily driver. also are these easy to remove or should i remove them when i do LTs and a ls6 intake?

Yup, you don't have too, though if you get a 1 3/8 expandable freeze plug for the intake, and some block off's that can be made for the headers, you will need to get the codes tuned out, I am sure you have heard this a 1000 times, but here goes, search for it, there are tons of how to's and suggestions and walk through to help you out.

Yes, do the search. I'm sure you will happen across a link to a writup so you don't forget anything in there. It's really very easy. One of the few things I've done that went as smoothly/quickly as anticipated. Getting that crap out of the way looks good, saves weight and makes other work under the hood that much easier since you don't have to work around it.

do "race only" headers not have provisions for EGR? i would rather start off with those then use plates.

Very easy to remove! I would wait until LS6 intake and LT's are going on.

When I bought my 2000 someone had already removed these items, I live in West TX and temps here top 105 degrees no problems with car with these items deleted, codes must have been deleted also because there are none. Thought I might have a difficult time getting it inspected because one shop said they would not pass it ( they were by the book/pictures) took it down the street they didn't even pop the hood. (I at least capped my cut out though) LOL

the only negative would be that visually you would fail emissions, but if you have it tuned you'd still pass.
