Default Which MAF sensor?

I've heard some say that upgrading the stock MAF sensor is a waste.

I'd like to be puttin down about 550 rwhp someday. I read where the stock MAF is only good for 450 hp. Should I replace the stock one? If so, which one should I get?

Any help would be appreciated....

stock MAF is fine for your power requirements. if you still want to upgrade talk to your tuner and find out which one he recommends.

The 75mm MAF is "good for" more HP than any of the
85mm Delphi units, based on its g/sec airflow limit at
12kHz (max PCM table freq). 512g/sec vs 450 or so
for any of the 85mm.

But most people don't max either one until they go
forced induction. So you might elect to go for the
slight improvement in MAP drop from a larger piece
of instrumented-up pipe, at least if you have the
notion that tuning makes a fun hobby.

Then again some people just dispense with it entirely,
when they're that into it.

If you just want to drive it, pop the screen out of a
junker and swap the end on. No, put the Dremel down.
Just the screen.
