Default well new parts and....

i put on my fan switch, and 160 stat, and i did the home made throttle body by-pass.....and welll


idk...seemed like it took forever for the stat to open.....and well when its running...and im driving at a good speed and crusing....with the fan switch on high....the motor wont cool down at all.....idk whats going on with it.....and when i let it sit for awhile and cool down....ill start the car up and run it with the fan switch on high right off the bat. And it still heats up real quick!!! some one help me out here!!

It sounds like you possibly have some air trapped in the system...this write-up has an excellent method for bleeding air from the system:

i did drain all of the colant and refilled it...and flushed the colant also...im trying to use a scan tool to check...but my OBDII port is not having power to it...soo the scan tool cant see whats going on

Did you take the time to burp the air out, or did you just fill it up with coolant and go?

i did let it fill up and open with the cap off....i didnt do the thing with the coolant line into the throttle body....do i need to do this all over again??

No. You just need to bleed the system. It sounds like you have some air trapped.
I used the same method used in the write up above. Really easy and did not take long.

are u going off the gauge??ive heard some of the newer cars 99+ arent exactly accurate on the gauge.

the stock gauge won't tell you if your running cooler than where its at. It'll only tell you if it runs hotter. the 98s will tell you though not anything after that as far stock gauges
