Magnaflow will sound good, but be a bit quieter. Random Tech will be a bit louder than that. And the Y-pipe dumped will be VERY loud and sound like crap.

I have Magnaflow and love it, but it's worth it to look around and see what you want.

I was also thinking about running a 3.5" moroso spiral flow dumped off the Muffex Y, I would try the Y dumped because it will be a little cheaper then the catback, I've never heard a random tech, but I have heard a magnaflow in person, they sounds alright.

You could do what I did...
I put the stock muffler back on and ran a 3.5" cutout before the axle. Make sure that if you choose this route to get an electric cutout. They are a ton of fun to play with and it is very nice to be able to have a quiet car when you want one.

i think that i will go with the y pipe dumped with spintech pro street or a sweethunder muffler because it will be cheaper. And will it really sound like crap?

Y-pipes sound like crap to a lot of people unless properly muffled. But if you are still running stock manifolds and cats it should be alright, the cats keep the rasp largely under control.

so if the engine is modify and has performance manifolds and cats the catback will sound better than a y pipe dumped?

I think it would sound better, but its a subjective opinion. If I was wanting to run dumps, I'd say screw the Ypipe and just run true duals w/ the same mufflers you were talking about or some other type of bullet. That'd sound the best, and probably be just as much as buying a full catback system from someone like Corsa, B&B or Borla.
