CANT get y-pipe on!
#2
I just put some car wash soap in the pipes and that really helped slide them into each other. Also might want to unbolt and move the catback back a little bit, I heard that helps. Other than that it just takes some wrestleing to get them on right. It will eventually go on its just takes some time. Good luck to you.

Loosen the headers so that you can move the collectors back and forth a little. Since most y-pipes actually curve in and the collectors point away from each other it makes it a real bitch to get them on. Last few times I have done it I always waited and torqued to headers down after I had the y-pipe loosely slipped into place.
Hope this helps.

Infamous 'y-pipe is too close to the bottom of the car and bangs like a mother f'er' situation. There are plenty of ghetto fixes for the problem, but the only real solution is to get a poly trans mount and/or poly engine mounts. Good luck.

We had the same problem with my Kooks. Took 3 of us pulling on the y-pipe to get it on. Loosen the headers so they move slightly to get the y-pipe on or use a pry bar and some friends.

The driver side of the TSP y pipe is adjustable. Once you get it on you should be able to grab the adjustable piece and twist it back and forth which will move the pipe up and down a little. This will probably get it off the floor but may still bang under acceleration and it will reduce ground clearance.

I must be a jackass or something, but for the life of me I couldn't get that mufflex hanger to work with my Kooks ORY. It just didn't line up with the bolt you're supposed to mount it to. I'm pretty upset that i have a useless $40 exhaust hanger sitting in my tool bag.
