some people that have bassani may not like having an overly loud exhaust system. after awhile, you just get tired of it. and sound is relative. if i wanted to stay loud, i would've kept the borla on the wife's car. but, then i wouldn't have gotten the extra 15 rwhp if i did. quieter and more power, now that can't be beat.

I wonder how many here have heard Bassanni and GMMG next to each other? I have heard the GMMG before and really like it. It basically sounds like a louder Magnaflow. Haven't heard Basanni before. They are really unpopular for some reason. I have heard one of their X pipes on a 5.0 before though, that sounded badass!

Id say the bassani true duals, but if your looking for a loud system id say slp LM for under $300 and then a set of pacesetters. For $700 or so youd have a full exhaust and a real badass sounding one at that. SLP LM is by far the most evil sounding system on stock exhaust manifolds IMO.

I vote Bassani. I have heard both, actually I've heard a few GMMG cars at various mod levels, and I've had the Bassani cat back on two of my LS1s at many different mod levels (w/ or w/o headers, cams, ORY or cats, totally stock, etc.).
GMMG sounds good, but I just happen to prefer the Bassani sound more. Actually, the sound is very similar to GMMG if you're using the Bassani Street Competition muffler vs. the Quiet Thunder muffler. Bassani is just quieter at idle and low speed cruise, which I like for a stock car. With headers, ORY, and a cam, the Bassani SC system on my WS6 sounded badass, nothing at all quiet about it at any rpm, very clean (basically no rasp), and the sound at WOT was one of the best things I've ever heard from both inside or out. It was loud, but a very good loud. As for my Camaro, it's just a basic bolt-on car, and I wanted to keep it down to just a mellow rumble at idle and cruise with a nice aggressive WOT sound; Bassani SC system did an excellent job accomplishing that as well, since I retained the stock cats & manifolds.
You can't go wrong with either system, hell I'd probably have the GMMG setup if Bassani was not avaliable, but there is nothing at all wrong with Bassani, and personally I happen to like it just a little better.
