MTI is proven to add the most HP (by almost nothing) but TSP clear lid looks awsome
Chevrolet: Camaro
Volant Car Kits W/Box
Year: 98-03 i hear those 03' are suppose to be fast
get the SLP cold air intake, itll work better, and buy both

What I've been wondering (and can't find any information on) is: does a lid flow better than the volant? There's lots of opinions, but nothing solid. Also, would a lid with Brian Glenn Ram Air kit be better than the volant. Again... I don't suppose anyone really knows.
I ask since if I go with a lid, I'll most likely get the BGRA kit. That would jump the price much higher than just a Volant intake.
The search for any real data continues...

i have the Volant on my 02 SS....not only does it look sick...but it HAS to flow better than a lid...its a completely uncovered filter that hooks directly to the TB and MAF etc...
i know you have the ws6, but, you will have air blowing right onto the filter...plus yeah they look sweet...

OEM style panel filters using a lid are better for maintaining higher air velocity. The cone filters make the air take a 90/45 degree turn. I'd get the MTI clear lid and do the free air mod. There's no need to blow $130 for the SLP kit that is nothing more than sheetmetal spot welded together. You have to do the free air mod anyway to intall the SLP bs.
I have a clear lid simply because it goes with my engine.
For your WS6 I'd get the BG ram air if you can find one and get a nice lid, black is fine, clear for bling.

Ok well, the brian green kit is no longer available, so if thats the route you wanna take you'll have to get it used. With the WS6, you could remove the baffles (like the BGRA) and get the volant since it seals to the hood. Without a ram air hood, just stick with a lid. I'm planning on switching my lid for a volant (since the BGRA is out of production).
