Default diameter of stock y-pipe?

Does any1 know the diameter of the stock y-pipe for a T/A -98? Mine doesn't have any catalysts and I need to put two on but before I can do that I need to know which diameter to buy.

Also looking for 2 highflow catalysts.

Regards

Default Exhaust Size

I was wondering also what is the stock exhaust size. I am looking to buy a cut out but don't know if it is 2 1/2 or 3 inch. Thanks

But if it is 2 1/2" why at aftermarket places do they all suggest 3" cut out.

No its easy. previous owner installed a gmmg exhaust and..I think borla y-pipe. But he complained it banged against the floor during acceleration so he wanted the stocker pipe back. But the muffler shop guys said it was better w/o cats and so they removed the cats. car sounds mean as hell but I need the cats.

Any1 that can confirm? is it 2,25" or 2,5"??

I was told by someone at a local speedshop nearby that the stock is 2 1/2", but I am not sure that it is, it very well could be 2.25". I would like to know though, can someone clear it up.

Just measured my old one, 2 1/4 at cat and 2 1/2 at I-pipe. The SLP Y is 2 1/2 all the way.

until i can afford headers i'm going to cut off above my cats, and put on the ball flange from summit and put on my SLP cat back exhaust. But what size would that pipe be from the manifold to the cats? And if i take out the back O2 sensors and don't put an O2 sim will it hurt anything or just get the code light?
