Default New urethane mounts bad engine vibration

I just installed new motor and trany mounts on my car , on the road test found it sounds like the exhast is louder and I have a stronger vibration throughout the higher RPM range , it vibrates in neutral and while driveing .
I feel like some how the engines not lined upor rubbing on the exhuast .

Has anyone installed new mounts and had this problem ? mabey its something I did or dident do?

Thank you

Tom O

Is the tranny mount polyurethane? IF so, thats your prob. I have one in my V6 cmaro after the V6 hydraulic tranny mount took a dump on me. Everyone that gets in it, wants to know what performance mods have been done and mmany people ask if it is a V8 LOL

Put the rubber trans mount back in (its easy to change out) and see how it is.

Yup. If you still have the rubber tranny mount, try putting it back on. See if there's a difference. I won't be transferring my tranny mount over, I'll be using the rubber T56 mount when I do my conversion.
