New pacesetters recieved, my thoughts

New pacesetters recieved, my thoughts Bought uncoated/painted through Byun. Welds look decent, F&F pretty darn good. Flange metal a little pitted (normal for mild steel). Stripped the paint off (whew! what a job) and repainted with red 1200* paint I got at Advance Auto. Took a lot of work, some paint stripper and a brush on the drill-boy that paint was on there good!
I would never do this again (strip paint)
but money is tight right now and the Head Bookkeeper must be satisfied.
Bottom line for me, pre-install, is that the quality is good, it is mild steel and not SS after all, but I would advise getting coated headers, even for those on a low budget . As we know, SS is the good, long term alternative. I did lay out/dry fit the ORY (also pacesetters) and the headers and everything looks good.
Will try to install this weekend, if time permits. Have no help and have to work 1/2 day Sat so we'll see how it goes.
Lets see if this 54 year old still knows his stuff.
