Default SpinTech 4in

Just got my Spintech with 4in pipe installed on my SS with Pacesetter LTs, and holy sh*t! This thing sounds ungodly mean. very deep tone, nice rumble at idle, WOT scares every child and animal in a 3 miles radius (well, not exactly but you get it) Couldnt be happier. Sound pics will come as soon as i get the new clutch to work right....

thats good to hear. I had the 3" muffler myself and was pleased with how it sounded. It was not loud at all though, really quite.

its the dual outlet with 4 in pipes. At wide open throttle, this will hurt your ears if you are behind it, no ****. Ill have some clips up asap so u can hear it. Very happy with the fit as well as the sound.

Looks like mufflex sells it for around 600 or so. I lucked out on mine and got that and a custom ypipe for 450 installed. Shop around, prolly get it cheaper from a vendor. definatly worth the cash when u hear it!

Ive been running a spin tech on mine since 2000 or so and I love it...I could stand to be a little louder, but I think that has more to do with the Cats than anything. Changing to the "race" series may also help, but I like the way it sounds.

The general concensus is that flowmaster is a no-no on 4th gen f-bods so id say go Spintech. As far as powergains, i have the catback and the LTs put on at the same time, so yes i experienced power gain, but how much to attribute to the Spintech, i dont know for sure. However, the guy that used this system before me, said he only lost 3-8hp over a cutout! Not bad

The Flowmaster 40 series race mufflers are a good flowing muffler they just have one in and out though. As for the Spintech performance they say that there are great gains if you need that big of a system (4")? I made great power through my Corsa 3.5" and it was really smaller than that if you measure the point where the Y meets the exhaust like 2 7/8" so take that for what it is worth I ordered my Mufflex over a month ago and still have not recieved it so if you want one better get it orderd so you can wait etc... Glad you like it Justin!

I have heard this exhaust, very nice sound and great performance. Was my favorite until I found the wonder that is GMMG.
